MONSTER!

Today I was bored and stuck in a project. To stop myself from throwing my computer at the wall I took a break and started doing something fun to amuse myself, and this happened! ITS A MONSTER!

It's impressive what a little bit of positive productivity can do. Today, as well as doing a fuck ton of cleaning and ironing, I gave my blog a bit of a spruce up. It's very different but I really love it. I'm already feeling much better about getting back into writing. It surprises me how I've still been getting comments and emails and lots of page views from you guys despite how little I've been posting. It makes me feel like I owe it to you to get off my arse and do this thing properly. I'd say today was successful. I'm going to draw something soon and start being more awesome. Here's my face. Beginnings

For the last, I dunno, I guess basically 2 months- I have had this niggling at the back of my mind, every day, telling me I should be writing something or creating something or blogging. It's got to the point where I have made it seem like a chore and not something that I love, like it should be.

I need a change. I need a new direction. You guys have always made me feel so happy about my work and given me such confidence. I don't really know when I stopped trying. 

Ive decided I'm just going to rip it all down and start again. Everybody starts some place, this was my beginning. You amazing people have made me realise it is possible to get people to notice my art and more than anything, you have all been such amazing friends and support. I never thought I would find so much comfort in complete strangers. I need to thank you all for that. 

I don't have a plan yet, I just know I'm going to redesign everything and re-think what I want this blog to be about. I'm going to kick myself up the arse and do it. I promise. 

I'll be back to my normal self soon. I'm starting today.

Where have I been?

I owe you all a huge apology. I haven't posted in so long. It has been on my mind, but I just haven't had the energy to do anything until now.

First of all you should know what has been going on.

A few weeks ago my relationship ended. This is something that is obviously hard for anyone, It is personal thing and I'm clearly not the only person involved so I wont get into it, but it ended on good terms and I feel like everything will be okay.

Secondly. And sadly, on New Years eve, Boux was found by a neighbour, she had been ran over and died. I don't think it has properly sunken in yet. I cant really believe it. I love all of my cats but Boux was MY cat and she was like a baby to me. She slept on my bed every single night and I always woke up to a cuddle. She brought me so much happiness for such a little thing and I miss her so much.

Needless to say I've just felt like a break from everything. I will get back on track once I find my inspiration.

Christmas Cards!

Look what came! My Christmas cards! I am so happy with them, they are printed so nicely. They are all made of recycled card and come with lovely brown parcel paper envelopes. The inside has a nice snowy pattern without any text, I left it blank mainly because I hate tacky lines in cards and its always much nicer to write what you really feel! On the back there is a little profile of each character and my little logo, I love it! What do you guys think? If anyone is interested you can buy them here!

Festival Signs

Hello guys, sorry about the lack of action recently, I have been pretty busy with this and that. Plus with Christmas coming up I have had to work, A LOT. Last week I got some time to design the posters for the stall Beth and I will be setting up over The Dickens Festival on the 2nd of December. I have to say, this is the first time I have really had a play with typography but I am really pleased with them, I used the same basic design for both of us but changed the themes ever so slightly. I got the signs printed up at work and they look great, Beth was really happy with them, I cant wait to get them set up next week! Im feeling a bit under the weather at the moment so fingers crossed Im feeling better by then. There will be lots of photos of the day, exciting exciting exciting!
